Ink Drawing - Mononoke

Personal depiction of the -later adult- character 'Mononoke', showing her main characters and scenery of the movie in the tattoos.

Inkdrawing on Hahnemühle cotton rag, 300g/m². Red colors are watercolor. Details and tattoos are done with 0.1 mm light-proof technical liner.

Piece completely developed and drawn on this single paper, no pre-sketches, during a period of 4-5 weeks.

The paper is aquarell paper and has several slight layers inside. For corrections in the facial area I had to carefully rub off parts of the top-layer to be able to redraw it. This can be noticed when looking up close.
